Mulligan Family Fun Center
This fun center is home to one of the only water parks near Temecula, California. Take a dip in their pools or splash down along their water slides to cool off. The park contains slides of many shapes and heights, and the highest of them require riders to be at least 36-inches tall to use them. The fun center has much more to offer, including virtual reality attractions, laser tag, mini-golf, go-cart tracks, an arcade, batting cages, a rock-climbing wall, and a theme park. The center is located at 24950 Madison Avenue.
Lake Perris State Recreation Area
Surrounded by a beautiful landscape of green hills and rocky mountains, the Lake Perris State Recreation Area is the perfect place to relax and cool down. Two designated swimming areas rest at the high lake level: one at Moreno Beach and the other at Perris Beach. Scuba diving is allowed at the western end of Perris Beach. Changing rooms, restrooms, and showers line Perris Beach, but there are none at Moreno Beach. Fishing, boating, biking, hiking, and rock climbing are also permitted in the area, so come prepared for fun.
Temecula’s Public Swimming Pool on Moraga Road
For a relaxing dip to cool down among family and friends, try out the public swimming pool at 41951 Moraga Road. Changing rooms, free parking, refreshments, and restrooms are available to all swimmers. All children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times. A lifeguard may or may not be on duty, depending on the day and time. The pool’s hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Temecula’s Public Swimming Pool on Rancho Vista Road
Set in Ronald Reagan Sports Park, this public pool is located at 30875 Rancho Vista Road. Restrooms, refreshments, free parking, and changing rooms are available to all guests of the park. All children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times. A lifeguard may or may not be on duty, depending on the day and time. The pool’s hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Char Snyder’s Swim School
If you or your little ones need instruction before venturing into the water, Char Snyder’s Swim School is the place to go. Dedicated to teaching people to swim with total competence and safety, Char Snyder’s has been instructing adults, children, and individuals with special needs for over 50 years. This swimming school is located at 608 Rosvall Drive in nearby Fallbrook, a short drive from Temecula. Contact the school at 760-688-6091 to schedule lessons.
